PURPOSE OF POSITION

The role will be responsible for supporting the EMEAA HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental initiatives across the EMEAA Region. The role will also be responsible for developing and controlling HSE documentation to support compliance requirements for office and project activities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIREMENTS

Role Specific Requirements:

  • To support the EMEA HSE Manager with the development and implementation of the regional HSE strategy.
  • Maintaining an accurate Risk Inventory and Evaluation assessment (RI&E);
  • Monitoring and identifying any issues as part of the RI&E and ensuring they are included and addressed in the Plan of Action (Plan van Aanpak);
  • As head of our First Aid team (Hoofd BHV) manage the team and the First Aid plan (BHV);
  • Follow up on any Environmental Agency Requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and support with driving a zero-tolerance approach to non-compliance of HSE guidelines.
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of Operational Risk Management Plans.
  • Support operational leaders in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring thorough root cause analysis.
  • Review and monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure they remain sustainable.
  • Support with analysis of accident and incident statistics identifying trends and developing improvement plans.
  • Support with developing and implementing environmental management programs to minimise the organisation's environmental impact.
  • Support with monitoring environmental performance and recommend improvements in line with CRCE sustainability goals.
  • Plan and monitor regular drills and training exercises to ensure readiness in emergency situations across the Region.
  • Support the EMEAA HSE Manager and the commercial team in the preparation and review of HSE documentation for new tenders.
  • Provide support to the Business Systems Manager to maintain and improve regional Business Management Systems.
  • Support the EMEAA HSE Manager with preparing and presenting regular reports on HSE performance to senior management.
  • Support the EMEAA HSE Manager with identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSE processes and systems.

              

Education Requirements

Essential

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in OHS (or International Equivalent)

Desirable

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Construction Safety

 

Work Experience Required:

  • 3+ years relevant industry experience (Manufacturing/Engineering/Oil & Gas)
  • Knowledge of Franch and Dutch HSE legislation is essential, and knowledge of UK/European legislation is desirable
  • Experience of working within an EHS Management system in accordance with ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001 is desirable

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Membership of IOSH at Technical Level
  • Sound working knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety Legislation
  • Intelligent thinker, focussed and priority driven
  • Strong motivation to achieve, well ordered and structured approach
  • Excellent personal negotiation skills with the ability to interact with peers and Leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internal and external to CRC Evans
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Packages
  • Ability to work alone or as a team member

The requirement to travel % of time:

25% - The role will be include regular travel to support operational project requirements.
