Reporting to the Warehouse Lead, the Warehouse Assistant will be responsibile for supporting the warehouse leads with all warehouse tasks. This involves administrative tasks and also physical tasks. 

 

Major Responsibilites: 

  • Follow the weekly schedule and complete any tasks listed in consultation.

  • Manage the administrative aspects of tasks and maintain a continuous pipeline of prepared work.

  • Perform assigned tasks, either independently or with the support of a warehouse clerk, and ensure all related administrative activities are completed.

  • Supervise and support warehouse clerks, ensuring that work is carried out accurately and in accordance with established productivity and service standards.

  • Support ethical and professional compliance of all company policies and procedures.

  • Adhere to and apply to objectives.

  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, SOPs, and Lean objectives.

  • Contribute to the training, coaching, and ongoing development of warehouse employees

  • Keep the warehouse area safe, clean, tidy and orderly.

  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and external partners, understanding their importance to operational success. 

 
  • Process incoming and outgoing materials in accordance with the workshop needs. 

  • Pick and pack outgoing materials, taking weights and measurements into account. 

  • Receive and restock shipments returned from rental projects. 

  • Load, unload and move goods using forklift, reach truck and/or overhead crane. 

  • Sort and store materials on racks, shelves or in boxes according to a predetermined order, such as material number and/or size, type, colour, etc. 

  • Perform cycle counts. 

  • Carry out all other common and relevant warehouse-related tasks.

Job Specific Education Required: 

Essential:  

  • (Equivalent of) secondary vocational education (MBO) or higher. 

Desirable:  

  • Forklift and/or reach truck certificate or willingness to obtain such a certificate. 

 

Work Experience Required: 

Essential:  

  • Minimum 2-3 years warehouse experience in a project-based environment. 

  • Demonstrated administrative expertise in order processing, data retrieval, record management, and operational support. 

  • Experienced ERP user (preferably SAP) on warehouse management transactions. 

  • Computer literate with MS Office 

 

Skills and Knowledge Required: 

Essential:  

  • Teamwork, initiative, and self-motivation skills. 

  • Capable of lifting 0 – 25 kg regularly using personal protective equipment as required by OSHA / Company policy.  

  • Good work ethics, understand and promote the need for efficiency and continuous improvement.  

  • Effective verbal and/or written communication skills in Dutch and English. 

  • Punctual, reliable, and flexible with a good sense of humor at all times.
