Reporting To: Offshore Director

Responsible for Contract Management and Profitability of projects through accurately executed contracts and cost tracking. 

Major Responsibiltiies: 

  1. Commercially manage multiple projects from receipt of award until final account stage and, in conjunction with Project Delivery Manager, responsible for reporting on the expected GM % rate. 

  1. Populate and update Commercial documents including profitability overview, revenue/cost/margin forecasts (monthly). 

  1. Review and track cashflows and budget trackers for cost spend (monthly). 

  1. Populate monthly business review file (MBR), discuss forecasting updates with Senior management, track monthly actuals to commitment and update the variances. 

  1. Understand Contract requirements (per project) on contractual milestone payments, revenue recognition with the aim to ensure maximum potential is realised. 

  1. Build positive relationship with customers to improve opportunities of repeat business and additional scopes. 

  1. Raise, submit and agree variance orders in accordance with the contract. 

  1. Raise and submit payment applications to the client and keep invoice trackers up to date. 

  1. Track AR position on projects. Commercially responsible for support the maintenance of accounts receivable resolving any disputes in a timely manner, handling negotiation to resolve payment in line with terms. 

  1. Undertake detailed formal project reviews monthly to understand and explain profitability compared to bid and forecast, to seek out opportunities/risks but also provide feedback to project delivery and proposals teams to take decisive action to mitigate any overspend/provide accurate pricing. 

  1. Support with ad hoc analysis of projects as and when required. 

  1. Support in the provision of financial evidence for internal or external audits as and when required.

Job Specific Education Required: 

Essential:  

  • Accounting, Finance, Business Administration  

Work Experience Required: 

Essential:  

  • Accounting and Finance degree (good understanding of accounting terminology) 

  • Project Management and Project Work understanding 

  • Good Excel knowledge 

Desirable:  

  • SAP experience 

  • Contract Management 

  • Background in project-based business 

  • Background in commercial 

  • Forecasting experience 

  • Administration background
