Materials Co-ordinator reporting to Materials Manager, based in Zeewolde, Netherlands 

PURPOSE OF POSITION 

Responsible for: planning, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of materials and inventory to ensure timely availability for production, projects, or operations. Under the supervision of Material Manager, this role works closely with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent material shortages or delays. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES  

Remit & Responsibilities: 

 
  • Supports the Materials Manager in maintaining  a pro-active concept of materials management with focus on correctness, cost, inventory level, and availability.
  • Supports the Materials Manager in developing, recommending, and managing the implementation of systems and procedures required to optimize parts/materials availability, MOQ, safety stock levels and order release methods as required for the cost-effective support of sales and workshop requirements.
  • Supports the Materials Manager in establishing, documenting, and maintaining an effective inventory transaction accuracy via day-to-day control of movements, annual count and cycle-count program achieving an inventory accuracy of 98% or better.
  • Assists the Materials Manager to maintain the building block approach to safety stock levels.
  • Support production or project schedules by ensuring materials are available on time
  • Supports the Materials Manager in reviewing the safety stock levels annually with stakeholders and updates SAP accordingly.
  • Provides input to the warehouse team to execute warehouse weekly planning & delivery schedule.
  • Follows company policies and safety procedures related to material handling
  • Ensures responsible areas operate in compliance with all Company policies, procedures, guidelines and instructions.
  • Any other duties, as deemed relevant for the position holder and within his capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

Job Specific Education Required:  

  •  Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Manufacturing or Technical bachelor’s environment 

Work Experience Required: 

  • Preferably 2-4 years’ experience in materials coordination, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain 

  • Knowledge of oil & gas/offshore materials, equipment, and spare parts 

Skills & Knowledge Required: 

Essential:  

  •  Documented experience in the following areas: Materials Coordination, Inventory Control, Logistics, Warehousing (including shipping and receiving). 
  • Expert knowledge of business computer systems software, such as Microsoft Office products, and working knowledge of manufacturing data entry processes. 

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping 

  • Good communication and teamwork skills 

Desirable:  

  • Experience with SAP ERP system or similar. 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.  

  • Committed to adhering to all Company policies, procedures, guidelines & instructions.

  • No, or very limited travel expected.
