Metal Sheet Worker

Key Responsibilties

• Tracing, cutting and assembling metal panels or sections
• Expertise in cutting with a torch, grinder or plasma
• Preparing components for welding
• Mounting structures on board ships, cranes or steel structures in industry, infrastructure or the naval sector
• Replacement of a tank roof (new construction and cutting/welding activities)
• Repair of ships and infrastructure in ports

Work experience

Essential

• Solid experience as a sheet metal worker or naval carpenter in construction and repairs
• At least 5 years' experience in the shipbuilding or oil sector

Skill and Knowledge required

Essential

• Organised and rigorous, stimulating performance through teamwork
• Good knowledge of safety standards and a driving force behind HSE initiatives
• Lifting and handling skills

Desirable

• Any other qualifications would be a plus (e.g. workplace health and safety certificate)

Requirement to travel 

• Possibility of travel within the Brest region depending on projects
