Position Title: Proposals Co-Ordinator (P1)

Reporting To: Tendering Manager

The Proposals Coordinator supports the proposals team with tender preparation, cost compilation, and documentation. This role requires strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple workstreams under supervision.

Remit & Responsibilities:
1. Prepare tenders and costings ensuring accuracy in line with customer requirements and company strategy.
2. Analyse client needs to identify the correct solutions and equipment, producing compliant and technically sound proposals.
3. Develop cost build-ups and apply appropriate margins aligned with CRC Evans’ operational margin and revenue targets.
4. Lead and participate in proposal review meetings, presenting bid strategies, pricing, and technical clarifications.
5. Make requests to and Coordinate with the wider Proposal Team, Commercial, Engineering, and Operations functions to gather necessary inputs for proposals.
6. Identify and escalate areas of concern within proposals, seeking guidance from SME’s.
7. Log and maintain records of tender activities and progress within CRM and proposal tracking systems.
8. Support customer-facing activities, including presenting proposals and participating in client clarification meetings as required.
9. Work to tight deadlines while ensuring attention to detail and compliance with internal governance processes.
10. Maintain adherence to CRC Evans’ QHSE policies and procedures during the tendering process

Job Specific Education Required: 

Essential: 

  • Level 3 Apprenticeship 
  • OR working towards Degree, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction, Mathematics, or similar.
  • OR relevant experience in tendering/estimating in a similar role

Work Experience Required:

Essential:  

  • 1-2 years’ experience as an Estimator, ideally within Oil & Gas, Construction, or Engineering sectors.
  • Experience in preparation of tenders and proposals.

Skills & Knowledge Required:
Essential: 

  • Passion for commercial activities, Customer orientated.
  • Attention to detail under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident to support and input within internal meetings and customer-facing discussions.
  • Strong team ethic.
  • Understanding of cost build-ups, pricing strategy, and margin application aligned with business objectives.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into effective technical and commercial proposals.
  • Technical knowledge of pipeline construction and/or general construction processes.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Requirement to travel:

  • Isolated occasional travel to visit customers / regional offices.
