Mobilisation Technicain based in Burnley, reporting to Warehouse Supervisor
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To ensure the efficient and cost-effective mobilisation and shipment of equipment and consumables from multiple global locations in line with project deadlines. The role is also responsible for coordinating the safe and compliant demobilisation of equipment at project completion, ensuring its timely return to the Burnley facility.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Remit & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting mobilisation to all project locations, including assistance with purchasing, picking and packing, shipping and coordinating de-mobilisations and re-entry of all CRC equipment and dangerous goods in accordance with company procedures and applicable legal requirements.
- Assist Stores & Good In receiver and supply support and advice when required
- Arrange transport and support Project Managers for the replacement of spare parts, additional materials in conjunction with service delivery teams
- Assist CRC Proposals department with any information required with process and quantity for transport, spares, plant and any other CRC equipment
- Assist service delivery teams, working in conjunction with project engineers to support mobilisation, re-supply and demobilization on time in full to agreed budget

REQUIREMENTS
Job Specific Education Required:
- Essential:
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word) and ability to use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for stock control and mobilisation tracking
- FLT Licence (Counterbalance/Reach) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to accurately check quantities and complete picking documentation
- Ability to read work instructions, shipping documentation and safety data sheets
- Understanding of safe warehouse working practices and UK HSE requirements
- Desirable:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Dangerous Goods awareness (ADR / IATA)
- Manual Handling Training
- First Aid at Work
Work Experience Required:
- Essential:
- Experience working in a warehouse environment, including goods in/out, stock control and general warehouse operations
- Experience accurately picking, checking and packing orders in line with dispatch documentation
- Practical understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures
- Desirable:
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Experience loading and unloading containers safely and securing loads appropriately
- Experience handling or preparing dangerous goods for shipment
- Experience supporting equipment mobilisation or demobilisation activities
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Essential:
- Reliability and good timekeeping
- Ability to safely carry out manual handling tasks
- Strong attention to detail when checking documentation and stock quantities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good organisational and time management skills

COMMUNICATIONS REQUIREMENT
Internal Communications:
- The role requires regular liaison with the Procurement, Workshop, PQT, and Project Management teams to ensure the effective mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment.
- Communication methods include:
- Verbal communication within the warehouse and workshop environments
- Email correspondence for documentation, transport coordination, and confirmation of requirements
- Microsoft Teams for meetings, updates, and cross-functional coordination The Mobilisation Technician must ensure information shared is clear, accurate, and timely to support project deadlines and operational efficiency. External
- The role requires regular communication with third-party export packing providers and lifting equipment suppliers to support mobilisation and shipping activities.
- Communication methods include:
- Verbal communication to coordinate collection, packing requirements, lifting arrangements, and delivery schedules
- Email correspondence to confirm specifications, shipment details, compliance documentation, and transport timelines The Mobilisation Technician must ensure all external communications are clear, accurate, and aligned with project requirements, legal compliance (including dangerous goods where applicable), and agreed delivery deadlines.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This role requires a satisfactory criminal background check and a 5 year checkable work history to ensure Known Consignor compliance (e.g., Standard or Enhanced DBS check). This role may require compliance with confidentiality agreements or other legal requirements.
