Purpose of Position

 

Responsible for repairing and servicing Automatic Welding Equipment, time recording and planning.

 

Major Responsibilities 

 

The below is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

 

Role specific responsibilities

 

· Refurbish CRC Equipment returned from worldwide projects as directed by the Lead Tech/Workshop & Equipment Supervisor.

· Set up and testing of AW equipment according to specific project requirements after repair.

· Clean CRC equipment.

· Ensure required quality of refurbished items.

· Operating Forklift.

· Operating Overhead crane.

· General assistance to visiting field technicians and/or customers.

· Teaching JR technicians applicable skills.

· Lead a team of JR/technicians to complete the repair of specific CRC Equipment.

· Positive attitude

· Follow and apply 5s and other lean objectives provided.

· Complying with HSE regulations and use of personal protective equipment.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· Any other duties, as deemed relevant for the position holder and within their capabilities.

Requirements 

 

Job Specific Education Required: 

 

· (Equivalent of) secondary vocational education (MBO) or higher; technical education

 

Work Experience Required:

 

· Preferably 5 years of experience Skills & Knowledge Required:

· Mechanical skills (Pneumatics, Hydraulics)

· Electrical skills

· Computer skills including the ability to operate computerised welding equipment

· Workshop/technical experience

· Analytical and problem solving skills

· Good physical condition because of the active nature of the job (lifting, standing, walking, reaching)

· Fluent in English

· Driver’s license B (E)

· Forklift Certificate

· Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a small team

· Be able to meet ever-changing deadlines, be flexible and adaptable, whilst maintaining good sense of responsibility as well as humor
