As Financial Accountant at CRC Evans, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth month-end closing process for the Dutch legal entities while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and statutory requirements. Your responsibilities will include preparing balance sheet reconciliations, leading the year-end audit process and managing local compliance filings. This role offers significant exposure to international stakeholders and involves close collaboration with colleagues across various CRC Evans offices worldwide (with no frequent travel required).
Main responsibilities:

Ensure a high-quality month-end closing process for the Dutch legal entities, including prepayments, accruals, transactional line-by-line review and supporting the preparation of management reporting

Prepare and review balance sheet accounts within the scope of the role, ensuring monthly account reconciliations are completed and that action plans are implemented to resolve outstanding issues

Process month-end and year-end audit and management accounting journal

Lead local external audits ensuring high quality and prompt responses are provided to the Audit Team. Highlighting any areas of concern to the EMEAA Finance Director

Assist in coordinating subsidiary statutory audits and preparing financial statements, ensuring timely & accurate filings

Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT/GST and payroll taxes) in cooperation with external tax advisors

Maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks and prevent fraud

Support one-off projects such as the implementation of a new ERP and consolidation system

Job Specific Education Required:

A bachelor or master degree in Accounting, preferably complemented by an RA, ACCA or equivalent qualification
Skills and Knowledge required:

At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a complex international environment and with exposure to IFRS

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English

Diligent, organized and forward-thinking

A hands-on problem solver, comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done

IT savvy, with Excel skills and a solid understanding of ERP systems
