The Product Quality Controller will play a pivotal role in shaping a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that the organization operates at the highest level of quality, safety, and efficiency in the rapidly evolving landscape of the oil and gas service sector.

Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) Management:
 Analyse and identify key areas contributing to the cost of poor product quality.
 Develop and implement strategies to reduce CoPQ through process improvements, and supplier quality management.
 Liaise with suppliers to reduce supplier NCR’s through a relationship building approach.
Downtime Reduction:
 Work with the Engineering team to ensure FMECA’s become part of the engrained product quality improvement cycle.
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse downtime causes and trends.
 Implement preventive measures and corrective actions to minimize unplanned downtime.
 Lead root cause analysis investigations to address recurring issues and enhance operational reliability.
Repair Rate Improvement:
 Assess repair rates for equipment and identify opportunities for improvement.
 Work closely with manufacturing teams to implement best practices.
 Develop and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing repair rates and associated costs.
Safety Systems Enhancement:
 Collaborate with the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) team to ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.
Digitalisation Integration:
 Feed into data-driven decision-making processes to optimize operations and identify areas for improvement.
Job Specific Education Required:
 Previous relevant roles in an Engineering or Quality environment.
 Related degrees / certification is advantageous.
 This role could suit someone with a strong interest in Quality Control.

Work Experience Required:
 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment or similar role.
 Experience in quality role / or engineering environment looking to specialise in product quality.
 Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
 Excellent team player ethos is essential.
 Knowledge of safety systems and regulations in the oil and gas sector is advantageous.
 Familiarity with digitalization trends and technologies to modernise the departments approach.
