SAP Support Analyst

The SAP Support Analyst will support users from different departments in their daily use of company ERP systems. Centered around current SAP ECC 6.0 landscape and current transition to SAP S4/HANA, ERP landscape covers our entire value chain, from design to procurement, also including finance, quality, usage tracking to support work spanning multiple sectors including oil and gas, renewable energy, and wider infrastructure across refineries, nuclear and transportation.

 

 

Role specific responsibilities

 

  • Provide first-line support to our SAP users, with a special focus on Procurement, Production, and Finance.
  • Conduct regular health checks and scheduled routine work, approaching these tasks analytically to spot problems and errors.
  • Deliver training to individuals or small groups explaining how to use the system to support some of our standard processes.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, assigning correct authorisations.
  • Perform regular data integrity checks and any necessary corrective actions.
  • Work with Functional Consultants and Developers to resolve incidents and problem tickets, reviewing and checking progress regularly.
  • Provide systems testing to support SAP updates.
  • Update end users on the outcomes of incidents, requests, and changes; providing regular updates and managing expectations.

 

Work Experience Required:

 

  • Strong experience of supporting SAP SD, MM, PP, QM module users.
  • Experience of supporting SAP FI, CO, PS, WF, HCM module users.
  • Previous experience using and/or configuring SAP is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience of communicating effectively and politely with users during periods of high demand.
  • Familiar with a ticket system.
  • Comfortable working in a high frequency change environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communicator in both verbal and written form.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Organised, flexible, proactive and results oriented.

 

Skills & Knowledge Required:

 

  • Knowledge of operations and general business processes, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing/assembly environment.
  • Knowledge of RFID technology, label printers.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Change, Incident, and Problem Management practices.
